Interviewing for a role in NY. The req is associate or analyst. I’m curious about TC because NY is more expensive than where I live right now. I know levels exists, but there’s a huge spread for associate and analyst. (Like 100k to 160k base) What’s a good expectation for analyst, and associate, provided I was to get an offer? For your YOE, they might say that they will give you Analyst but aim for associate. One of my teammate is in NY who is an associate. His base is 130K and bonus was 50K last year. This is for back office. Negotiate for higher base, and full year bonus instead of prorated. I got full year bonus last year even though I joined the firm in November 2019.
What's the wlb like for such a position in Jersey City?
Curious how does the bonus work. I joined feb 2020 and was told prorated. I had heard from many here saying even when joining in dec they get full. Seems confusing. It shall be one way across the board in my view. What am I missing? Shall I talk to HCM?
