Hello, I got a verbal offer from Goldman Sachs at New York location. Interviewed for Software Engineer Associate role but was given senior analyst role. Recently graduated with Masters in CS and have about 2 years of work experience prior to it. Is this a good offer given the location and the role? TC: 160k Base: atleast 125k Current TC: 0 #tech #goldmansachs #softwaredevelopersalary #offer
It’s good but what’s senior analyst role? I believe they have analyst, associate, vp, senior engineer, md
It's kind of mid role between analyst and associate
I would say with 2 years and a masters they would start you out at associate or promote first cycle to associate. Total comp is pretty standard for that level dev role here but base is lower than I’d expect for your experience. Maybe you could negotiate higher if you have other offers.
Shall I try negotiating for base or TC?
International?
yes
How's the situation rn? Are people really struggling to get jobs in ur class? T20? CTX: I have a pretty good job in my home country but really want to spend my 20s in the US. I have close to 2 yoe.
Bad. Negotiate to 200k at least If they don’t offer 200k, then it’s not worthwhile to take the offer. Wlb is bad and 5 day RTO and you’ll have to do on-call in late nights

It's good, especially for a new grad in this market. Also it depends if you have any competing offer or anything else in pipeline
