Question about women in their 30ās?
I got an email from GS recruiter about setting up a phone screen with no prior verbal communication. Then after I shared my availability she has scheduled a 30 min phone screen with one of their tech engineers. Is it going to be a coding interview or just a telephonic conversation as no one has even talked about the position and it is scheduled for just 30 minutes. TC : 110K
Why not ask the recruiter for clarity? FWIW my process for GS was a 20 min initial screen with HR, then a 1 hour remote coding interview, then an onsite. However they give a lot of info about the coding interview ahead of time, including a link to the site and explicitly say you need a computer with internet access for the interview. In my experience whenever there is a remote coding interview the company always makes it crystal clear before hand. So you can be 99% sure this will just be technical questions over the phone.
Thanks for sharing your experience.Looks like it would be mostly typical phone interview and I have already sent an email to the recruiter about the clarification, but the phone screen is scheduled for tomorrow š so thought of posting it here for quicker response.
Did you get the offer from them? What was LC level throughout the interview process?
It is funny. Last week after 5 pm someone called me and start asking all of sudden about I had applied for some position at this company. So without any introduction, he had asked about my role & responsibilities. When I enquired him if he is recruiter calling from this company? His response was no, I am hiring manager. After 5 mins of talk, he said can we do interview on Friday. I said fine, if you can drop me your email, I can get back to you with availability. I never got back any response back later. There is another company where hiring manager contacted me by email by saying it is critical position for them to setup call next day. After interview, he said he will provide feedback to you and get back. Also he mentioned their recruiter are very busy so expect some delay. After some follow up emails, I got no response for 3 weeks and then one day he responded sorry I was on vacation and will get back. Last week, he said we will interview you next week. Today I asked, hey is someone going to send invite for interview? Answer is yes but I know :) Not sure, these days companies like to waste time
Lol this is crazy.I think these days companies hire third party recruiting firms to find candidates for them who basically donāt have any idea about their interview process at all. They are just bunch of idiots playing the role communicator between you and the company.
You should just ask the recruiter
