Expert in AI
im a junior in university and I’m trying to decide for my last internship this summer. details: Goldman Sachs - NYC pay: 55 /hr risk engineering team, the location is good but work might be more boring. IBM - bay area pay: 60 /hr team said they work under Watson ai umbrella and they incorporate it into their enterprise products Splunk - colorado pay: 54 /hr backend swe for a security team I heard it’s getting acquired by cisco so dont know if that affects the decision here. People not in tech seem to not have heard of this company. Since this is likely my last internship, I’m prioritizing whatever is best for new grad recruitment for faang level companies, but it would be nice to have an RO to fall back on. Please give me advice #tech #internship #career #goldmansachs #ibm #splunk #faang #google #meta #netflix #apple #amazon #microsoft #swe #softwareengineer#tech #tech
SPLK is garbage, but it’s hard to find worse tech company than GS and IBM.
Not great options but splunk if you don’t get anything better
Choose AI team. Domain is more important than brand
Goldman for the return offer. Cisco usually is not good with converting interns to FTEs. IBM would probbably pay you peanuts. Goldman will pay you good (but might make you work a lot) and highest chance of return offer
What is the money offered by each ?
updated, they’re all pretty similar
