Good checking/savings account in 2023?

Hi Blinders, I'm looking to switch banks for my regular checking and savings account. I currently am with PNC Bank (lol) Already have a HYSA through Marcus which I am contributing to. This is where my emergency fund is parked. I'm looking into Chime and SoFi. Are these good? Thanks TC: šŸ„œ

Schwab, main reason is if you keep your checking light and risk overdraft if you arenā€™t careful then you can pull from your Schwab brokerage account on margin to cover and avoid stupid fees.

Fidelity for everything. I keep my cash as money market earning 4.3% right now, regular FDIC cash earns near 3% I believe. ATM fee reimbursable for any fees anywhere. Also use their 2% back CC and funnel rewards back into my brokerage monthly, where I buy ETFs for longer term growth. Thereā€™s a 1% foreign transaction fee, but that means itā€™s a net 1% intl rewards credit card. Also free HSA, 401K, IRAs, whatever. Great app, great support. I love it so far.

Nice! I'm actually closing Fidelity brokerage account and moving to Vanguard. I kinda wish I had everything on one platform but ĀÆ\_(惄)_/ĀÆ

I did the opposite about 6 months ago and consolidated everything from HealthEquity, Schwab, Vanguard, and Capital One and have been really happy so far. You really can't go wrong with Schwab, Fidelity, or SoFi for checking/savings or an all-in-one. All great support, great apps, and solid products. Any reason you have to move to Vanguard?

Find a credit union with low/no fees. I grew up with a local credit union, switched to chase and could not believe the nickel and dime fees. They charged me when I used a non-chase atm (on top of the fee that atm charged). Iā€™m with navy fed now, but any local credit union is better than a bank with shareholders.

I've been using discover for a few years, savings account is giving 3.5% interests, it's not the highest but pretty decent for a well known bank
