Good roles at PM Director

Been at FB more than 5 years, D in PM function now. Still like the job and company but little bit tired of working too hard and still having the big company BS. What are competitive pay jobs but not as large a company feel (care less about size of the company but culture of feeling small is important) #pm #productmanager TC 1M YOE:15 (not all as PM)

Not related to your question, but I am Sr Product Analyst at a fintech insurance company, and I was curious what skills you think are the most helpful if I wanted to transition to PM at a tech company like FB.

Can you please share your TC and yoe. Not just the typical blind tax 😜 but curious to know the details since there are very little data points at that level. Thanks!

In another post, someone said 1M is low for a FB PM director. Are they full of it? What’s the typical range?

You could likely find D level positions at unicorns that match the salary but feel a lot smaller.

This. Assuming you are willing to accept the risk of exit value. Though, you'll be trading big company BS for more responsibility/leadership stress as there is no safety net. Golden handcuffs are real. 🤷

What are some of the names which are good unicorn in product roles? Heard Instacart is a total crash and burn.
