I want to get my VISA stamped from New Delhi. Considering it's super crowded around December/January taking up to 3 weeks, I'm considering going a bit later to India. Any idea on how things are in Feb/March? If it's barely better, I may be better off in December/January itself.
Why should jan be crowded? It's Dec when they go to get married
No, it is when the sale of condom products goes up.
And January when they apply for VISA because by the time they get married, it's Christmas break.
Its always crowded... go when it suits you.
I have heard it takes longer for then to stamp and return the passport around December/January. For example 3 weeks after appointment to get the passport back, while maybe a week around normal time.
Anecdotal but this happened to me
I just checked there are plenty of dates and slots available in December and January. I scheduled mine. I noticed they have changed the vac center from nehru place to cannaught place. Anyone know the exact address in CP ? The address is of metro station.
Did you have to fill your DS 160 first to book a slot?
Obviously. You need ds160 and go to interview appointment site and complete your profile and pay the visa fees . After your receipt is linked to your cgi number then you can book appointment. Everyone has unique cgi number . Even if you made a mistake in ds160 you can fill another one. But you can do this before you hit "continue" after entering receipt number of visa fees.
It's auspicious to get it in Jan
Auspicious...ππππ
/S Yeah make sure every page of the documents have the necessary Haldi/Kumkum tilak!! And donβt forget to carry bananas and coconut as offering. Oh and speaking of gods, make sure you visit visa Balaji in Hyderabad!! (Hit post and then apologizes to visa Balaji!!)
