Asking current Uber employees: what is the vibe at Uber today? should one consider joining? how are benefits and perks? TC 300
Talk to ex FBers at Uber. They'll provide you with a better picture. Their Q4 was decent but they did go on a layoff spree in Q3 (the extra money which usually kicks in the next quarter). I hear that Kalanik completely liquidated his holdings which concerns me. IMHO, their valuation also concerns me. They are dead and buried in emerging markets which I think are the places where traveling in taxi/ food delivery makes sense. Those are the places where driving is difficult/impossible. I'm curious how Uber plans to grow. Remember that you can achieve profitability without growing just by cutting cost. This means your RSU lose value.
I heard their grants are much bigger now to account for this.
Does Uber have refreshers? How it works?
Morale is great. Future looks optimistic. Plan for path to profitability is solid. Great time to join!
How? Can you give details?
