Hello, I was recently impacted by the Oracle layoffs and am looking for advice on possible next steps in my career. I have worked as a financial analyst for the past 4 years primarily in the services industry and recently transitioned to a pre-sales role at Oracle NetSuite. I genuinely enjoyed the job but was unfortunately let go after 4 months of employment as part of a broader reduction in their workforce. I am struggling to determine what the next step in my career should be. I have contemplated going back into finance but genuinely enjoyed working in the software space, learning the ins and outs of the product, and speaking to the value that it brings. I would like to eventually transition into product management. Any advice blinders? YOE: 4.5 TC: 110k #layoff #career #finance #softwareadvice #tech #software
TC different for the financial analyst and the Oracle pre sales? You can start your own start up trading or financing!
Got a pretty decent bump in TC when I switched to pre sales. It was a remote position and I live in a LCOL area
