You can get as many users as you want but if you can’t monetize, you are DONE. $RBLX | Roblox Q2 Earnings: - EPS/Loss $0.46 (Est/Loss $0.45) - Sales $680.80M (Est. $784.86M) - Q2 2023 Daily Active Users 65.6M, Up 25% YoY
Companies like Snapchat have been losing money for a lot longer and they’re still going
Those losses will vanish at those growth rates in a few quarters, so long as the expenses don’t rise in proportion, which are easy to contain, they should just avoid hiring at the same rate as what they did last few quarters. Roblox is a solid growth company.
Says the guy from Peloton. Lol
User grow rate 25%, revenue growth rate negative. So I guess you’re right, the losses will vanish because the company will have to shut down with more users * I get your point but you really can’t treat 12 year olds like new users that will accrue value. That’s the Roblox mistake. No matter how many 12 year olds you sign up, you can’t replicate standard SaaS/freemium dynamics
Layoffs incoming ?? CFO says - “During the quarter, we also built the plans that we believe will enable us to generate operating leverage against infrastructure and trust & safety spend starting next quarter and against compensation expense starting in the first quarter of 2024”
Are layoffs a form of operating leverage against compensation expense? I thought layoffs were just a way of cutting expenses, not leveraging those expenses, but tbh I have no fucking clue what they mean by leverage against those expenses. It sounds like making greater or more efficient use of those expenses rather than reducing them though.
That quote doesn’t make me think there’ll be layoffs, it makes me think the CFO had a stroke.
Their target demographic are 10 year old kids without disposable income. They don’t even know whah their long term strategy is.
What do you mean? The obvious long term strategy when your demographic is children is to keep them hooked till they get jobs and disposable income.
They may not have disposable income but every kid is constantly begging mom and dad for Robux, asking for it for birthday/holiday gifts, etc.
LIFE IS ROBLOX 🗣️🗣️
Tell them to bring out the whole ocean ‼️🐬
What the hell do they even do
Let’s not forget RBLX also hasn’t done much to stop underage gambling on its site. Which could land them in big trouble if regulators realize that , even if they get out of it any stop to curb could lead to revenue declines as supposedly they make serous amount of $$ from it.
Roblox is generating cash, bookings are counted as revenue over 24 months
Although I hate Roblox I don’t want them to go under right now. They need to survive. If their employees enter the labor market, it’s more tough competition for us
Without my kids buying crap on that app they would be even further in the hole
Damn they're still losing money like rates are 0
