What does Google Ads Tech stack look like? I'll be joining next year so I was curious.
Googly
"Tech stack" isn't so much a concept in Google. Basically every last tool and piece of infrastructure is internal. Also, Ads is large enough that their infra choices will span many internal technologies. And unless you're doing deep infra work it's likely to be largely abstracted away from you anyway.
So, Python?
:)
Look up the F1 research paper. Otherwise there is no stack, it’s all Borg and C++.
nodejs and mongo since google operates at web scale
Yeah that was a solid move. Our mongodb collection size is now 15 PB and it's seem less.
Don't forget that we run it on AWS.
Haskell, IBM db2, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
Seriously?
