Google /Amazon - India Oncall /OT allowances
How much one gets for Oncall /OT at Amazon/ Google India locations ? In Barclays its 2x hourly rate. Hourly rate = ( (fixed salary components / 12) /22))/ 8 Salary components excluding employer PF contribution and gratuity. #google #amazon
Wait a minute are you talking about customer support , risk management etc ? They do get overtime pay , but i dont know details.
The only place I know that gets paid extra for on-call rotations in Amazon is Germany, because of labor laws. This is for on-call rotations as a SWE though, not sure about support roles. Source: interviewed at Amazon Berlin, asked interviewer about on-call load, he gasped and said yeah its there, but at least you get paid a little extra here.
Wondering when will india reach such stage with these kind of strict labor laws.
Nothing in amazon for oncall time
Do you work in support ? What about overtime ?
I am not in support , i am in sde. For our oncall we dont get extra pay and there is no concept of overtime.
