Google Application Status: Not Proceeding
I recently applied for a staff role at Google that aligns perfectly with my expertise. Unfortunately, the next day the status was updated with "Not proceeding". I am assuming this is because my CV was screened and it was determined I doesn't satisfy the minimum requirement. However, I do satisfy all the requirements in the job posting. I never did a full interview loop with Google before. I did have a couple chats with hiring managers and decided not to go for the full loop since I had other offers. I'm curious to learn if this was likely min req issue or possibly something else. TC: 550k #google
I also got the not proceeding the day after I applied. I contacted the HM before applying. I got the not proceeding before my call with HM and they took me to onsite. My status is still not proceeding although waiting for onsite result haha

They posted the job description on LinkedIn. You can also ask your friends at google to give you that info
Sometimes levelling issue happens, you fall in the L4-L5 role but the candidate applied for L6-L7. In that case Recruiter itself changes the status immediately.
That would make sense as well. I'm IC6 at NV, which should match the staff role at G (L6), so I was surprised to get screened out so quickly.
Nvidia, how is your TC so low at ic6? With the current stock price how is your Tc not 1M at least? I mean 550k is amazing. But low given stock outperformance?

Called the recruiter and demanded and answer
The status is shown under Applications on Google Careers website.
interview scores are only kept for a year, or at least valid. you also have to put key word skills on your application and resume . Or use bard to look up the resume of the role you want at google and compare yours
