Google background check: Reported to HireRight about self-employment. start/end dates: 2019 - 2021 HireRight reported dates using TALX4-Worknumber database: start/end dates: Before 2019 - Present So they flagged this employment status as 'Complete-Discrepancy' due to the end date mismatch. I did Tech Consulting work using an LLC. HireRight thinks I am still self-employed. Maybe because LLC is still active in the state records. Trying to fix the issue with HireRight, but so far not successful. HireRight claims they found my LLC data in TALX4 Worknumber. I can't find my LLC/employment data on TLAX4 site. Not sure how HireRight has access to the data and what they're seeing is accurate. Will it cause a problem with the offer? Would Google allow any self-employment end date correction before/after HireRight submits the report? Is it a good idea to contact the recruiter/google before HireRight submits the report? Does google care if you unintentionally miss to report one of self-employment dates to HireRight (which is not listed in the resume)? EDIT: Found out that QuickBooks started sharing (selling?) my LLC data since last July. Working with them to find out what was sent. thanks
Does one have to report their LLC for these? I thought they just reference what you have on your resume
I doesn't hurts to keep your recruiter on the loop. I doubt it'll be an issue. Good luck.
Thanks
I had HireRight fix the end date finally and Background Check is completed.

I had the same issue with Goodhire. Couldn’t verify obvious dates of employment even though I linked my ADP account directly, sent them 3 years of W2’s, my original offer letter, as well as my employee profile. I disputed with Goodhire and that actually exacerbated the process as they typically have 30-45 days to settle disputes. I ended up getting back in contact with the recruiter/onboarding team and sent them all of the same information (with pay/benefits redacted); they accepted this directly and manually overrode the verification piece. Kind of a nightmare for something so easy to validate. I’m not sure how it works over at Google but I would definitely be transparent and have all documentation/proof ready to send them.
