How is Google Cloud doing? How is the outlook? Is it challenging or going to challenge AWS & Azure? How happy are the engineers working there?
If I was going to jump ship to anywhere it would probably be GCP rather than AWS. Saying that, I'm not sure how mature the Enterprise side of things is for Google at the moment.

The Windows Phone of cloud
Can't imagine GCP being a serious challenger on the enterprise segment. Kind of surprised by their executive optimism given ground realities.
Pichai once said their cloud business revenue will match their ads revenue in 2018. Now I think is postponed to 2022. Always mentioned when they will overtake Amazon, and sounds like they will overtake Azure for granted. Good luck GCP!
Cloud is low margin. I don't think google will be successful in cloud though I don't think it matters that much either. Cloud like all other enterprise offerings will become commodity and command little margin. All major successful stories of last 20 years, amazon included, owing majority of their business to consumer product/service. Amazon would still be amazon without cloud. Aws without amazon would be a better version of rackspace. But no major league
As a user of GCP I love it, and seems like a great set of products to work on.
As a cloud user I also love GCP too. Clean UI, great products. From a market perspective I've always said "Google plays the long game", but the game is going quite fast at the moment and they are catching up
When the real numbers come out, think many will be surprised. Won't reveal before 2019 my guess.
Any news of reorg in Google cloud?
It is all in the SVC not in the nice cozy MTV
SVC?
I have been confused by this... Cloud apps vs. GCP. Are they in the same PA? I know cloud apps is in SVL and GCP is in SEA.
