6 Months unemployed - Take low offer?
//Update// I got a verbal offer today Base Pay - $249,000 25% bonus - $62,025 706 k equity Vesting schedule (every month) Year 1: 40% vesting - Year 2 : 28% Year 3: 20% Year 4 : 12% ——————————————————————— Awaiting a potential offer for a Level 7 Data Center transformation role at GCP Professional Services. While I have not received a formal offer as yet, the recruiter discussed some figures with me. She asked my expectation and I said TC of 700k as an expectation. She said L7's don't go that high and that what i was seeking was more in line with a Director (L8). She mentioned the following back of envelope numbers for a Level 7 1. Expected max base $246k 2. 25% performance bonus 3. Typical sign on bonus : ~$20k 3. Stock equity : unknown Granted I don't know what the equity portion will be but the fact that she said 700k TC is not possible, this package seems to be quite a lowball given what I have read as potential L7 offers on this forum. Will post once I get a formal offer, but wanted to get people's opinion. My YOE : 19 years
Thanks! How would you define a non-tech role? This is a senior role that involves being a trusted technical advisor to large enterprise clients
Eng / PM / TPM etc are tech roles. I think the salary is pretty strong, so would be interested in what the equity offer is. L7s in tech roles can get close to 1m

Assuming this role is Non-tech L7, sounds about right. Id be curious if the equity makes up for some of the gap though.
