I have an interview being scheduled for Google Cloud PM role. The recruiter gave me a list of domain to select one domain which I want to be interviewed for (total 5 on-site interview, out of which 1 focused on Product (domain) and 1 focused on Technical (domain)). I wanted to know a bit more about what Google means when it says Storage domain. I know a lot about storage since I worked for many storage manufacturers in my career, but I dont know a lot about storage from cloud company perspective. I would really help if someone can provide insights on what kind of questions I would get in the storage domain for Google Cloud PM interview #google #googlecloud #gcp
I am in the same boat. Is it more use cases or deep technical subjects?
I am in the same boat. Any insights to share?
It’s about having technical depth in your area. So if you’ve been working on data protection for years as a PM expect questions that look for knowledge and strategic insights that relate to your area. My advice is to focus on prepping for the generalist PM interviews; with domain you pretty much either have the experience or you don’t.
Can people who went through storage domain interview post what kind of questions they encountered? I am scheduled for one soon. Thanks
Could you share what was asked in Storage domain round ?
Design 10 TB storage system.
That means you will interview with an engineer / eng mgr for one of them and a PM for the other who are experienced in that area. They will be assessing your level of technical/industry depth in your domain. Normally this not about your depth of understanding of Google technology but how deep technically you are with the products/markets with which you have had prior experience.
