I have got to offer stage at GCP for a sales role. I don't need any negative comments. It is a great choice I have. I have 8 years tech sales + 5 years sales experience. The base salary seems so low as its 40/60. Lower than my past employer and way lower than I expected. Has anyone had success getting a decent sales base from GCP? Or do they lump you hard on RSUs? What roles in cisco considered as a sales roles? There are so many titles like system architect, network consulting engineer, technology solutions architect, system engineer etc. Which one of these are commission based and good upward momentum? How is TC in cisco?
Sales. Everything else is a techie role. Sales Engineers are not sales they have very little risk and responsibility. Its 70% base 30% commish maybe and you are a sales helper... the roles you mentioned are technical sales engineering roles so they are part of the sales function/process but not sales per se. Basically for technical people who have great communication skills and are willing to travel
Iβve got news for you. Sales Engineers are most definitely sales. 42% bonus on quota. 2 quota buckets (vs some sales rep who only have one). Those buckets are across entire pods (multiple sales reps). Responsible to be present and contribute to territory reviews and account plans, deal closing plans and drive new commit and MRR expansion.
115 base is low for l6 , have seen better offer for l4-l5 , try negotiating . Good luck

Thanks .. it is broken into 4 sections which your rectuiter will share with you. I made sure to write down a few example deals I have done for each one and brought that big deals into my answers. Tbh it was a tough process CE is what Customer Engineer?
Hey that's a great approach.. yeah.. CE is Customer Engineer. My experience is mostly with sales and data analytics, not much with cloud.. but I did invest a LOT of time learning about cloud in past few weeks.. my intervirw is tomorrow.. let's see, will either make it or learn! π

Not sure.. the numbers mentioned were roughly 115 base 172 bonus + rsus + sign on BUT I provided a competitive offer of 150 + 160 + rsus. Its complex as GCP are 40/60 which is very unusual and I'm not bought into it unless they bump the base.. bonus is hot air
