Hey All, I am being interviewed for Google customer Engineer position for AI/ML.I have around 8 years of Experience. H.R didn't mention about any level while interviewing.. What could be the best bet for my salary. Should it be L5 or L6. Also what could be the best salary I could make Base + sign on bonus + RSU#tech #faang #customerengineer #google
You're asking about L6 and L7 ICs with 8 YOE? Woke up bro
Thanks for your advise.. I am new to this levels. What would be the best bet ?
I think they might propose L5 (assuming you don't have advanced degree) and ask the interviewer to also adjust their recommendation (down to l4 or up to l6) based on your interview performance
You Can ask recruiter about range. Location??
Seems like they will come up with low.. it's always better we go with some figure
That didn’t happen with me. In CA, they’re required to tell you range. If you go in with a figure, you could overshoot or undershoot. But then again, if someone give you a number, you can throw that out there I guess
So apart from CA no need to mention range? And how about If HR undershoots
