Got an offer from Google for CE role in Seattle which I find very low. How high can I negotiate without a competing offer? interviews went very well and had number of references current comp: 259k yoe:15 L5 offer Base: 146k Bonus: 62.5k RSU: 105k over 4 (this feels very low) Sign-on: 30k TC: ~236k
Offer seems fair, RSU for Sale Engs and the likes are always low due to the Bonus if hit. Emphasis on IF it is hit, keep that in mind when deciding as many in GCP do not get the bonus. Basically ask yourself if the TC is okay without the bonus.
They are not even meeting my current comp so not sure how this is fair, based on other salary post for CE roles on blind, seems low as well
Itβs fair for how Google pays their non-eng roles. You wonβt get anything drastically better than this, itβs your decision
You can push the RSUs closer to 200k, but I don't think it'll get it much higher than your current TC with a L5 offer.
Congrats! Now thatβs a good offer. Mind sharing your process on how you did so? Can DM if you prefer to chat in private
