Google Data Science For Graduates - TC and Negotiation Potential Per Location
I'm going to Google this summer for an internship (very data science focussed) and I'm looking ahead to grad offers. Specifically regarding Google: Does anyone know if there are data science roles for new grads? How does TC vary for data science compared to other grad positions (technical and non-technical) and what does the landscape look like for San Francisco versus London in terms of data science, TC and the ability to negotiate offers? I've heard the community is super good at helping with this kind of info, so thanks in advance! I appreciate any help that you guys can give me! Edit: MSc (2020 grad), 0 YOE
SF data science offers will probably range around 200K and 300K TC, especially since you'll have a Google internship on your resume. My understanding is that London will be considerably lower.
The issue with SF opportunities is the listings require work authorization for the U.S. - Interviewing specifically for Google is fine because it's referred internally post-internship. But a blind app to other top firms in SF isn't really an option.
We need the following information. 1) BS/MS/PhD? 2) YOE
1) Integrated masters - so I finish with an MSc (British University) 2) 0 formal YOE (but a bunch of internships)
