Google Engineering Residency program experiences

I’m a new grad and I recently accepted an offer for G eng res program starting in 2020. ngl, pretty happy about this offer and very excited to start work. I declined my other full time offers for this. TC: 112k with a 15k completion bonus. Can anyone talk about their experience with this program and how the team matching works, how it is to work at G (Mountain View), and what kinds of work that residents work on? If I wanted to work on a specific product do I have the option to choose so? I’d also like to know the conversion rate to full time after the program. I’ve been hearing it’s around 90% but any advice or insider info would help.

Is the TC for MTV?

yeah

Congrats! I’m new so I don’t have much experience with this program. I’m surprised people are turning down full time offers for this, so I’d be curious about your reasons.

I figure the conversion rate is high, and I hate leetcoding so this might be my best shot at getting into G. Once I’m in, I want to focus on other important things (other than TC) in my life for a while since I hear the WLB is quite generous.

Reasonable. That seems to be the common position among fte at G too

Can you tell about your interview process? Also are you graduating in 2020 or have you already graduated? @ckxkckxckx?

I will be graduating in 2020. The interview process was two sets of two interviews each. The questions I was asked were of medium difficulty and the optimal solution was quite obvious once I identified the correct data structure to use.

Thanks. So just 2 interviews total to get an offer? Also how do you recommend prepping? Will doing medium and easy questions on Leetcode suffice?
