Having an upcoming HR screening on financial analyst position in Google, any suggestions? What's their interviewing process for finance roles? Case study? SQL? Behavioral?
Thank you so much!

Since this is just the screening you’ll only have a short time to impress unless you’re pre-selected for an interview and this is just a formality. Read Google’s financials to get a sense of the different areas, key risks to businesses etc. Use the resources provided to you by the recruiter on how to frame your answers for hypothetical questions. For behavioral questions, have solid answers and surely expect follow-up questions. Read up the few principles that google cares about and try to highlight them in examples you use. In my opinion they care about this more than the technical skills. But do mention the technical skills you have (sql, financial systems etc). Good luck!

Wow this is really helpful! Thank you so much!!! Anything I should not do or should try to avoid? Is it like after the hr screening it’s not guaranteed there will be another round? Not sure how it works but it sounds scary!

For me, the screening was just a formality. I was told on that call itself that the manager is interested in talking and what the next steps will be. I’d say just sound genuinely curious and passionate about the job and Google. And def do check out the resources provided to you so far.. if not check google website for it.
