Google GCP - Customer Engineer - VM Migration

Super hard to find any relevant info on this position since the changes in the sales org, lots of FUD, non-answers or speculating. I tried Rooftop and didn't get very far either. I've been approached by a recruiter and starting the process, but even they indicate "highly dependent on interview performance" which I understand, just looking for guidelines. What's the TC/Leveling for someone in this role that meets the following: 15-20 Total YOE in enterprise infrastructure 5-10 YOE specifically in a pre-sales architecture role (big picture, not specialist) with $15-30MM in annual sales numbers dealing with Fortune 500 National/Globals Current OTE of $225k + Company performance bonus of up to $20k

Your experience and YOE almost don't matter at Google. Seriously. It depends on your interview performance. Id say you are probably a L6 but they'll down level you to L5 because they can. Tc depends on location. Where?

Currently Midwest. There was some mention about relocation, but there are openings in my area. Current TC is tied to major markets (NYC/LA/DC/ATL) because that's where 99% of our customers live and where we usually draw talent from. My team is a bit of a unicorn in that a lot of us are remote fly-in/out for various sales motions. Colleagues that have moved on from my company have gone to AWS as L6 SAs.

The only real piece I think you will care about is equity. For L6 you're looking at around 150k over 4 years. No, not per year but in total over 4. Its not that attractive at Google.
