Does google pay well for hardware engineers too? How much rsus / cash bonus i can expect with master degree & 7yrs experience?
I don't think Google is part of the "HW lounge" in Blind. This question should probably be posted in the tech lounge.
Thanks for sharing the info. That's well below my expectation. I am expecting something like 300-400k comp.
300k for 7 years exp? thats a lot ๐ ๐ is your current apple comp close to that?
Little below than 300k now, but will get there in a couple of years as rsu vestings accumulate.
how much in base, bonus and rsu refresh units?
300k because the stock prices went up? 300 is a lot for 7 yrs๐ฒ
It's been less than three years at apple so the upcoming vest will help me get there. Did not say current comp is 300k. Hoping to have that comp if i move to google.
Gotcha. It's been 6 months in apple for me. Will goto google after 18 more months. Need to get some rsus vested first
300k is not a lot actually for 7 years. Been at AVGO for 3 years and 2016 W2 is a bit over 300k. Next year projected to be even more as my RSU pipe will be full.
300k is not a lot? what is the base+bonus split? this is super high imo but again we get paid peanuts so not a good benchmark to compare against
I replied to you on DM
I bet NVDA folks will have even better numbers now that their stocks skyrocketed.
I am curious too. Ur company, Apple is known as top-tier paying in hardware field, so wondering google is similar or some % increase on the current base? Or hardware will also get somewhat similar to software business salary range, which is much higher...
