Its not like that at least in Amazon. If there’s no supply for the same bar in a location, then we don’t setup a development center in that place. Therefore I was curious why Google would choose to do that but it seems like someone responded below that its not the case.

I have interviewed with Google India and US and found India interviews are lot more harder.
This poll is funny coz google India recruiters ask candidates to schedule interviews during night because US googlers tend to ask simpler questions 😂
Yeah I had the impression Google India on average asks harder questions based on leetcode discuss. Something like lc med average in the US vs lc hard average in India.
Google India interviews are definitely harder. Bar is similar accross because of hiring committee.
Interviewers @ Google India ask obscure competitive programming hard questions for someone that would join & only write Angular
That's what you get when you hire ACM ICPC type college grads for a long time. Things will change
