How is the Google internal security team viewed by the rest of the company? A number of big companies I've been at have disdain for the internal IT group and it's considered a dead end. Any thoughts on how the culture views are at Google?
Worshipped. Seriously.
Tfw being IT at Google > working at AWS
How does one get into Google security? Is it the same standard SDE Interview loop? I’m a developer in the security space and want to get specifically into Google security (something like Project Zero) one day.
My opinion: they're 1337. Totally different world between Google infosec and that at other cos. Much more respected here because the value of what they protect is obvious.
