Google India Team Matching
I am currently in the team matching phase of Google for L3. I had a call with the Simsim Team in YouTube. It's a start-up that was acquired by Google. I want to understand how the work would be for a product that has been acquired. What could be the possible pros and cons. I have heard that YouTube and Ads teams in Google are good for promo and comp upgrades. Is that true? YouTube is good org of what I have heard and look at your roles, responsibilities, scope to growth , wlb as well and then decide. In well established team as a L3 you might not get much scope. My two cents as you have 8 months of experience concentrate on grow and learning. And why you wanna switch from Adobe in just 8 months?

I had a call with my recruiter today and he set me up for a team match tomorrow. I still have one more regular interview the day after. But not sure if the the team match is a good or bad sign.
I also had the same team match... I dint move forward because the project team is acquired team from SimSim they are not "googlers"... They have startup culture. Infact their scope also dint seem appealing to me... Only plan is to show catalogue ads on youtube and redirect traffic to SimSim team. Dint sound good to me personally...
They are acquired under youtube and they are integrating with Google now. Some old Googlers have joined that PA as well. One of my friends joined it said no startup culture but at the same time no Google feel as well. Because most of the folks are acquired one. But then it is under youtube so he got good TC at L5 7 YOE. And as it is newly acquired it has lot of scope for improvement and make an impact and grow to L6.
Good decision. I joined the team, now badly want to switch. Recruiter said I can change teams after 9 months, but that’s bullshit. Internal transfer guidelines state 1 year. I’m stuck here for now :(
