Just wanted to share because lurking on Blind and leetcoding has led to me having 3 different jobs since leaving college, and going from 65k a year ago (not Yelp) to 204k now. I came from an okay but not good neighborhood, no name college, but after encouragement from this community even I was able to grind it out to move to the west coast and see my goals materialize. My offer for L3 last week is as follows: 135k base, 195k stocks/4 years, 15% target bonus, 25k signon (204k TC not including sign-on) A lot of people have been stuck in HC for ages based on the group chat I'm in,so I must have gotten extremely lucky to get a team fit call 2 days after passing HC. I want to give back to this community in any way I can, because besides the laughable political commentary on this site, it is a gold mine of information and has plenty of well-intentioned people on it nonetheless. TC Progression: 65k (east coast startup) 110k at Yelp Under 2 YOE Onsite was all medium level questions, no DP. Negotiation: Mentioned that I was in loop for SDE2 with AWS, but besides that they started with a good offer from the jump, I just asked for a signing bonus to offset some losses. Little negotiating was done. 45 Leetcode solved. 8 hards, 35 medium, 2 easy (house robber and painting houses) Grokking the coding interview: solved all except the bit manipulation and binary search sections. This is equivalent to about 40 more LC, mostly medium with a few easy and hards. Timeline: -LinkedIn message from recruiter in mid April, soon after layoffs -Phone screen first week of May (3 weeks later) -Onsite June 3 -Went to hc 3 days later -Heard I passed hc the next day -Team fit call after the weekend(June 16) -Went well, really interesting distributed systems team. Got feedback from recruiter the same day and decided to move forward. -The next day, discussed initial comp expectations (always give expectations that are higher than what you'll accept!!) -Thursday, he came back with initial numbers -Friday, he added signing bonus and I accepted Edit: I forgot to mention 1point3acres The people on that forum give 0 shits about NDAs, and post every interview question they get. I paid $50 for 1 month access. One of the questions on my onsite was posted there and on leetcode discuss. Here is the link for the Google tag: https://www.1point3acres.com/bbs/misc_tag.php?mod=tag&name=google&mobile=no Have fun translating if you don't speak the language lol

How can you clear Google with just 45 LC? I was asked LC hard in phone screen. Not LRU cache hard but actual hard hard.
Man they asked me a straight up easy-med question on the phone screen. Something related to using multiple heaps, I don't remember the exact question. I honestly believe this interviewing thing is luck of the draw. I was asked harder questions by Amazon on average.
Yes, itโs just luck. It depends on the interviewer, whether he is in good mood, questions that he ask at that time and how your answers affect him
Fuck yeah!
Congrats op. Enjoy time at G and jump to Fb E5 after one year.
Thanks!
You can jump from google l3 to fb e5? How?
Congratulations OP. Thank you for sharing
Thank you
Where is the hiring freeze?
Apperantly the hiring freeze was BS
Seems like Google India is the only b*tch who like it hard :p
Hahah, and Hahah on your username
Congrats OP, can you share the timeline? Thought they were on a hiring freeze.
Thanks, updated with timelime
Thanks! Much appreciated!
Is Google still hiring L3 candidates?
Not sure if they are still allowing people into the pipeline, but they aren't canceling interviews.
Very good offer. Congratulations ๐
No DP, that's extremely lucky. Congratulations and well done.
Yeah no doubt. One of my coding questions was completely open ended and nothing like a LC question at all. I went in expecting the worst.
