Google L4 offer @ Seattle vs BayArea
1. Does TC differ across Seattle and bay area. 2. If yes, does anyone know by how much ? I have an offer from Google and still unsure which location I should opt for.
Your cost of living will be roughly 30 percent higher in SF, this accounts for income tax. Adjust for Bay
I can tell you this much... A manager at Google who is my friend; moved to the Bay area for about a year. Ended up coming back to Seattle because the cost of living was way too high down there; and schools weren’t as good. Having said that; I would advise you to consider multiple factors. Not only TC. What is important to you when it comes where you live? Schools, other services, weather, etc. Also, I’d think you can inquire about the potential difference in TC by talking with the Google recruiter.
