Senior SDE offer Location: Seattle Base: 181k Equity: 361k Sign-on bonus: 20k Thoughts? They are not budging at all unless I have a competing offer. How can I negotiate without competing offer? Yoe: 7 #engineering #google #offer #swe
LOW. And in this economy… they can get away with it :(
You can't, ask for what you want and ready to walk away. If it is better than what you are making then take it
Companies never negotiate unless you bring a better offer to the table
Pls everyone trust this. Learnt it the hard way.
Did you negotiate for dropbox?
doesn’t sound like bay area offer
You can't. If you reject, there are hundreds willing to take that offer. Always have competing offers.
Good L4 offer for remote 👍🏾
Low-ball offer
Does that mean your TC will be $240k for the first 2 years as an L5? Dude, you better eat $200k worth of the cafeteria food every year to keep up with Google prestige. The chicken sandwich burrito guy should be able to help
How did you get the number 240k? Frontload the first 2 years will be 33% of $360k so it's ~120k, plus yearly bonus of 15% of base so around ~27k. Total is $330k first 2 years.
Ahh. Right. Math hard. Less food to eat
