Google L6 compensation
Any feedback on what would be a good offer? FB is 240k base, 100k sign on, and 1.2 million RSU. How much can I expect from Google? Waiting for recuirter to come back with the numbers. Thanks!

I heard that there is no pip above l5 at FB? Pip pressure comes at l3, l4 levels since you have to promote within a time frame?
Not at all the case. That pip is different as you need to get promoted with a certain timeline. This is still easy to do trust me. The timeline is generous. L5+ you get piped for not being able to meet the level expectations and work expected from you. I know more l5/l6 piped than 3/4.

My current comp is 380k so the offers are good. Good to know that L7 at G is doable. At MS I would get it in 2 years but comp wouldn't increase much. Though at MS I can easily be M2. If Google would give 530 then I would take it. Lower comp than FB but better life balance. Currently Google isn't matching FB offer. How much was your other offer that Google gave this offer?

There was a 1.4m 245k in there and they new my Apple Pay. Initial comp from G was 900k 217k. I said no flag out and that i don’t have to make the move. This is a specialized hire with no team matching involved so not sure if that made a difference. But yes they said they simply cannot do 1.4m at L6.
