Non-tech Lead Location: Seattle (HCOL) Base: 200k, Equity: 490k, Sign-on bonus: 40k, Relocation separate. Nowhere close to comparable data available on levels.fyi and on Blind. Current TC : 275K (LCOL) YOE 20+
Just to note Seattle is tier 2 pay for most tech companies. Should be 10ish% lower than NYC metro and SFBA pay bands. Still horrible offer though
Don’t settle for a base less than 250 and 800 stock
I don't know if the current environment (flush with talent) offers any leverage to negotiate to this extent.
I'm so confused. Do you mean 800 per year or 800 total over 4 years?
How can I become non tech Blood coming out of my eyes and ears coding like a monkey
TPM you basically sit around and chit chat all day, make sure people are doing trainings, etc and get paid extremely well
Oh nice I know how to chit chat I can keep talking if they pay well
Is that 490 over 4 years?
Yes
It's a bump from your current TC I guess. Google name might help you land a much better one a couple years down the line.
Non tech? What role? Typically non tech levels are inflated by one relative to eng
Non-SWE roles pay less. What is the job ladder?
I interviewed in 2021 for a L7 non tech role - Biz Ops. Recruiter and I discussed $450-$500 TC. This is pretty low, you sure Op this is L7?
Yes...L7 at Google
Didn't realize non tech v.s. tech disparity was this absurd but looks like L7 PgM offers at Google average $470K on levels fyi
PgM is a tech role.
There are not tech PgMs too.
Bro this is nonsense. Definitely ask for 275k base. The rest is a lost cause.

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
That’s one of the lowest L7 numbers I’ve heard for any FAANG company. What role is this for? And what’s your YOE?
Lower than my L4 offer from last June.
Says non tech? Wonder what role
