Impact is the woke way of saying "making money". We wouldn't want employees thinking it's all about the $$$. Have to nickel and dime, down level and expect more from them to increase our earnings and investors net worth.

However EVERY SINGLE PUBLIC COMPANY has the goal of making more fat stacks than the previous quarter. They have a duty to. But god forbid we have the same goal....

Between this, the new PERF system and OpenAI/ChatGPT starting to take hold of the market, it’s a bad time to be at Google. Sadly, as long as there are people desperate enough to want the prestige of Google and working there (as evidenced by a recent Blind post about Google being their dream company), big tech companies will continue to get away with this nonsense.
