Anyone working for Google London ? How is it like vs Google US ? In terms of the work life balance, flexibility...
The thing I can tell you for sure is that the salary is like 60% of the US. Net pay more like 50%. I think Zurich is a bigger office and therefore has more opportunities. London is better in terms of career growth btw - as other companies such as FB, Amazon, Twitter, Uber have offices here.
So what if it’s 60%? UK isn’t as expensive as the US and 60% means it pays almost the same as Boston, Austin, or a Chicago (70% benchmark) which are similar COL cities to London than NYC/SF which are much more expensive. So 60% in London is like 90% equivalent in SF
