What numerical level would you associate with a job title of Managing Director at Google?
8 I think. Subtract one or two if you are coming from a different company
Ahh... The MD title at Google, sometimes it's an 8, like a real director, some times it's a 7, others it's a 6, and on occasion it is even a 5. Why? Because an MD is not a real director and it doesn't map to the technical ladder at Google. What they do is look at the job responsibilities, and about 90% of the time it falls in the 6/7 bucket range, so it winds up being technically a 6, but you get the fancy title.
Ha! Didn't realize that a MD wasn't a real director... Thanks
Thanks, MD isn’t my prospective role, is title of folks on my panel. I think they are > 8 based on my context.
In sales, that title is a 9.
Title 9 in any business org!
Depending on your exp it should be L8
