Wrapping up recruiting and got several Product Manager / Program Manager offers. I have 3 years of experience in engineering/data @ AT&T, and spent the last couple months trying to take on product-related tasks (wasn't super successful, but still had some good talking/resume points). Offers (all L4 or equivalent): BTW: My interviews at both LinkedIn and Google were phenomenal. I got the LinkedIn offer after letting the recruiter know about my other offers, so it might have less room to negotiate. LinkedIn: 170 base / 340 stock / 50 sign-on Meta: 160 base / 240 stock / 50 sign-on Google: 150 base / 240 stock / 35 sign-on Amazon: 130 base / 125 stock / 25 sign-on Microsoft: 145 base / 120 stock / 25 sign-on I'm pretty torn between Google, LinkedIn, and Meta. Meta seems to have the best promo growth, LinkedIn has such a great offer, but Google is Google. Thoughts? Not creating a poll so that I can get some actual feedback! current TC: 175k BTW: If you want to ask about interview prep tools and stuff, then pls DM, I'll gladly help. I just want to keep this post on-topic if possible. #productmanagement #google #amazon #Facebook Realized I post this in SWE group. Re-posting this in the PM group for more informed advice.
Do you fully understand each package? The way you have laid out makes it look all apples to apples, but it is not. What is vesting schedule? What is TC of each offer? Amazon for instance doesn't really give a sign on bonus. It's part of your first/second year guaranteed comp. And most the stock vests in years 3 and 4. Your going to have to break out TC for each offer for folks to weigh in whilst being informed
Amazon is weird yeah - I’m not considering that offer though. The rest are equally vested every year though!
Meta with the amount of growth potential
Depends on what exactly you want at this phase of life. Putting my advice: 1. Meta: you can get really fast growth. L4-L5 could be done in less than 2 years. But work is demanding and it can take toll. Hike and refreshers are great. Meta is getting bigger with every passing day though. 2. Google: more variety of product. But slow. Career growth would be relatively slow. But peer group would be better than Meta. You want get refresher after your first year. 3. Linked: no idea. Money sounds good
Thanks!
These offers, if for a product role, seem low. At least for G and FB
Really? I thought it was above average
I follow a couple LinkedIn PMs on social media and it seems like it's a fun culture. No other suggestions! Best of luck!
Cool
Are these for an entry level PM role?
Nope, L4
It seems like LinkedIn has good WLB and your offer is great there. No idea on promos and refreshers tho. What location are these in?
Bay
Loc?
Make it a poll?
