I recently received a new grad offer for the Google Seattle office. They offered me: 118K base 90K/4 years stock No signing bonus I was able to negotiate the stock to 110K/4 years and got a 25K signing bonus using a different offer, but I feel like the original offer they gave me was the same that they give undergrads. Does Google give different salaries for Masters vs undergrad and are they just lowballing me? I asked my recruiter and she said they already adjusted the original offer for the fact that I am finishing a graduate degree but I've seen people who have only finished undergrad get the same exact offer. Any help would be appreciated. TC: 0 YOE: 0 #google #newgrad #tech #negotiation
It’s the same as undergrad. If you have PhD then they give you a level up.
People who come from Bootcamp also get the same offer
Woahh!!! google pays lower than Microsoft for new grads!!
Wtf that’s much lower than Amazon new grad
Google knows people will anyway join for better WLB.
Same offer, you have to have a competing offer to get a higher one, and even then it will be front loaded.
Can you elaborate on what you mean by front loaded?
Higher pay at start so overall lower offer.
