Google New Grad degree verification?
A question for Google employees. I start at Google in two weeks and Google did a background check about a month ago, which I passed. I graduate in one week though, so even though I passed the background check they haven't verified that I graduated. Every task in the onboarding dashboard is marked as finished. Am I all set to start, or should I expect a follow up background check to verify that I graduated? #google
If you have your graduation documents with you then you shouldn't worry. But if you suddenly plan to not graduate just because your background check is done, you may have a problem
While I graduate on that date, I'm not sure if the Clearinghouse is updated fast enough. I have a previous undergrad degree and Clearinghouse took like 4 weeks to update with my graduation status.
Don't worry about it too much if you have all the required documents with you
My friend joined Google last July (2020) He hadn't graduated by then Background verification checked that he'd be graduating that year and have the thumbs up He hasn't been asked for his degree yet So I wouldn't worry Congrats on your offer!
How is background check able to find that out? Do they actually call your school?
after you got your email from HireRight saying you successfully completed the background check, how long did it take for the Onboarding Dashboard to update to reflect this?
Just an update. Even though I graduated, they never verified to make sure. Just wanted to post this in case in the future someone is curious.
