How long did it take you to complete Google’s onboarding process (how long before you were doing real work)? TC: 230K
What’s onboarding?
5 months
Lol your poll is off by a factor of months
You should change weeks to months. If your poll was for amazon , it would have been accurate options
2 days? Seriously?
I’ll be HW engineering
For any engineer at Google, it will take weeks if not months to start contributing to your team - if that’s what you meant by real work
At G now. 4 weeks GTI if you’re a SWE. If you’re super ambitious you can start real work in like week 3-4 but most likely you won’t really feel onboarded till around 3 months
Bruh. It took me 2 weeks just to get my laptop
Is the onboarding process virtual or are you required to go to office during new onboarding?
Weird that so many are dragging me for this but ~50% of respondents are saying 1 week or less…
That's what you get for putting such limited options. What even makes you think people ramp up in under a couple of weeks, at any big tech company?
Where's the option for 8 months?
