Got 1 dp+1 hard graph +1 binary search in my Google onsite.... Got smoked by the first two and my brain was still overheated. Walked into the third one after a 10min break, couldn't think straight and also bombed the easy binary search... Man this is how they get you 😭 Does Google have bar raiser? My second graph question was significantly harder than others. Asked a few friends and they said no way they can solve it in limited time. The graph guy also talked like a leader kind of person.
when you say hard graph, was it like advanced graph algos like Bellman Ford/MST ?
Bellman ford/MST would have been super easy. The problem was the description itself. Wasn't even thinking about graph algos for the first 5 min! In the end the algo isn't hard but a lot of layers to peel off in order to get there.
All of the above
DP, graph, trees.
I didn’t get a single graph questions in my on-sites even though I was hoping too as it was my strong point
what areas did you get ? I'm surprised given that Google loooooves graphs
String stacks dp , questions weren’t that easy in the interview but outside of the interview environment I would rate them as medium
Grokking coding interview patterns course, grokking dynamic programming interview course, + leetcode.
It really random and based on some luck too.
Upvoting this. Google interviews regardless of level vary a lot in difficulty. The key in any case is great communication and in my case faith in Jesus
All of the above
Fuck me sideways ! 🤣
