Looking for info from current Google PMs or those who recently went through the loop and had a successful team match. What online resources are actually helpful? I’m willing to pay $ as long as it is actually helpful and resembles the real life experience. YOE 10 all in non FAANG #productmanager #product
Thanks for your reply and the feedback in exponent. In re to high supply of PMs for low number of openings, would you say this is still the case even with G recruiters sourcing candidates? Are they just trying to keep the pipelines packed? This interview came by way of recruiter.
100% yes still true. I've been tracking PM openings in one cloud specific org since I passed my onsite last July and it ranges from zero to 2 open heads. Based on my GTI cohort there is more hiring in Cloud than Core. The recruiters that are still there need to keep hitting their pipeline metrics regardless of openings.

I exclusively used Exponent and was very happy with the content and my results. Well worth the $120 or whatever it was the subscription cost for a year. I didn't do any mocks with their service or anyone really. That said, it's massively tough as an external candidate right now. The few open PM positions get a dozen internal transfer applicants within a day. Unless you've got really niche expertise it's going to be really tough to find a team match.
