Hey guys, Just wanted to know more about the TAM at GCP: 1. How's the work culture within professional services ? 2. Is this a sales entity or a services entity of Google ? 3. Pre Covid did it involve any travel ? 4. What is the typical pay and rsu grant for the role in India ? Anyone out there who is a GCP TAM/or been offered the role. Please drop some reviews and answers š

I really can't speak to any relevance in India. However it's a post sales role, tied to professional services. You're in close relationship with Sales and Support, but you are certainly not sales, nor do you have a quota of any type. It's less technical than a Sales Engineer within Google. More technical than a TAM within Azure, and similar to AWS. No on-call. I transfered into the role from within Google, so I can't speak to the salary, but it's not that high. As far as TAM roles go it's at least competitive though. Travel depends on you and your accounts, pre covid some guys did office hours if it was worth it, with large enough customers, or to kick off a large project. But typically no travel. L4 TC $195k with full tenured vesting outside of the US. So non-premium salary.
Mind if dm for more info?
Sure.
