Anyone joined Google recently and can share his onboarding exp while WFH? TC: 170k
I find the lack of daily interactions kinda scary. Obviously, no one usually tells you that you are slow to ramp up. But, in in-person interactions, lunch etc. you kinda get a feeling where you are, there are hints. But, with weekly 1:1 over meet it's way difficult figure it out.
In the same boat. How long did your background check take?
Mine took around four business day
1 week
I will be on boarding in two weeks, really excited about it!
Which location?
My home 😂 SF after that
The process is smooth but ramping up the project can be challenging. You don’t get as many chances to talk to people on the team to learn stuff so either you need to be more proactive or need to figure out more things by yourself.
Did you get all the equipment(desktop, monitors, keyboards etc) before the first day?
Yes but only laptop. Monitors and keyboards are on-demand: you can request base on your need after your start date.
