Should I marry a lazy girl?
Anyone working in Google Public Sector in the cleared space? I’m currently a federal worker and I have a TS/SCI w/ a full scope poly and am considering making the switch. I was curious what everyone’s experience has been. Is the wlb better than AWS cleared space? Also is there a clearance bonus for having a poly? I wouldn’t be applying for a SWE role but more like DevOps. If anyone is willing to privately message their experience, I’d be more than willing to message. Just let me know and I’ll message you Also if there is anyone who works out of the Reston office or the DC office, how is that location? Is it a small office?
With a TS/SCI + FS Poly you can have the pick of the litter with that. I’d imagine you’d be largely untouchable.
I could get these clearances, but I’m in the bay area. Any hope for me
Getting the clearance isn’t that simple. A lot of people go through the process and just don’t get it. The polygraph especially is super flaky and you can easily fail it for no good reason.
Haven’t worked there, but have seen it - the Reston, VA office is fairly small. Just a floor or two within a large glass shared office building.
I live in the area where the Reston offices are and know someone that works there. They have two offices in Reston, one main one and one smaller one. The main one looks very fancy (I think Google owns a few floors of the shared building). It is attached to the Reston metro station, has a staffed kitchen/cafe, gym, massage, and I think a few other things. I don’t know much about the DC office.
Dang really? I’m kind of surprised that it has a gym and massage in that office
If you have clearance, you will get a job very fast.
Microsoft has a lot of cleared spots in reston too

Palantir is hiring?
Following…definitely not enough info out there about this
Are you looking to apply for positions in this space? Are you currently in the DC and VA area? I'm actually coming from a different state so I'm curious how the area is in general.
