Google Start Date
I am signing an offer with Google and discussing a start date with the HM today. Is it reasonable to ask to start in 5 weeks (3 week notice + 2 week break)? Is 5 weeks too long? Google is my dream and I’m just really excited and paranoid at the same time. L4 YOE: 2 TC: 250k #google

How do you get L4 with 2 YOE? It's perfectly reasonable to ask for 5 weeks.
5 weeks is a bit long, but it’s not a big deal, especially to google. I’d just go for it. If you were really worrying about it, I would just not give three weeks notice, two is all you need, and take the two weeks off.
I think I had 5-6 weeks before start. It should be ok.
I did 6 weeks and I know someone doing 3 months. Within 2 months is usually fine, more than that is fine too as long as your manager is ok with it.
