Equity over 4 years or 1 year?? I assumed over 4 years and if so then yeah sorry real hard ball.
4 years of course.
Don’t mix TAM with SWE or TPM roles, TAM offers are way less, I don’t think L4 TAM can get over 400k equity … no way.. your offer must be for some other role …
Yup mine is a TPM role, so maybe 20% off for TPM vs TAM? And another 10% for HCOL? So ig 30% from mine would be a good ballpark I think?
Well, $480k equity is still too much even for L6 TAM in Bay Area. $300k-350K RSUs for L6 TAM in Bay Area might still be doable i think. TPM/SWE range is much much higher than TAM/CEs at Google or anywhere else. CE is still not bad, i hear they can make up to 42% commission of base and make over 400-500k. TAMs TC 350k for L6 in Bay Area might be highest ever unless someone provides more info.
Updated offer- Base-122k Bonus-18k Equity-150k Sign on-20 First year comp-210k
Congrats OP on negotiating, esp the sign on component! Based on above comments this looks good for Mcol! Also, stock definitely has upside IMO, so good time to join!
This is awesome! Would love some tips on how you negotiated to get this increase.
TAM L4 210 MCOL wow …congrats !! equating this to Bay Area for L4 and L5? I remember in 2018, GCP L6 TAM Bay Area joined with 220k TC, I guess with inflation, salaries have really picked up !
Going to pass on this offer. Current comp is comparable and not much upside with the change in location, job etc

YoE? Seems a little lowball, but not sure what TAMs make. If their band is similar to TPMs, then yes this is low ball, but yoe can possibly change that. There's upside to stock given that it's pretty low rn, but even then...
