Considering exiting the aerospace sector and going back to tech. Current TC: 168K (base only) 🥜 Active security clearance Anyone think this is a good move? I have a couple days to accept the offer. Got down leveled due to severe title creep at GE Aviation. Initially expected high L6, and they said 😂…😐 L5. The L5 is more than my current TC at GE so that’s not the issue. I’m wondering should I stay at GE for the job title and stay out of tech to finesse my way to an executive role or just accept the reality that I’m not as skilled as I thought
Director base is 168? That’s pretty low even for non tech no?
😭 I’ve seen people get 180K-220K. Got promoted to Director in 2020 after covid tanked the industry
GE is a dinosaur 🦖
Hurts
i know LPB1s and SPB3s making $150K-$185K you're getting robbed 😂😂😂 You're like a - Director Lite - Director 2.8 (2010) Unsupported Version

Microsoft Sr SWE L63/L64 offer
Wouldn't even think of it as "not being as skilled". Tech is just the place to be for comp and WLB right now
