During the last couple of weeks, I read that it’s becoming more and more complicated to get a job at Google Zurich and apparently they are moving most of the engineering jobs to Warsaw, Poland. Based on levels.fyi data, Google Zurich was probably the ONLY place outside of the US that could have US-like TC. Google Warsaw seems to pay at least 50% less compared to Zurich. What do you think ?

What’s your view on this? :)
- Google Zurich already had few positions available because a lot of people want to work there, but now all open roles are pretty much reserved for people that would be impacted by layoffs (they are given plenty of notice ahead of time so they can find new roles within the company) - As for it being the end, keep in mind they have plenty of runway to pivot and course correct; /* Same for the company in general, I think it's short sighted to just fire people instead of reassign them to other projects. Even if they overhired, they can reassign the engineers to other products that need more people or they can start new projects, maybe in new areas (however, in this environment everyone is playing it safe, noone want to do any experimental/exploratory work)
