Google Zurich life
Hey everyone. Consider moving to Google Zurich (if get an offer, but looks promising). Have read a lot of posts but still don’t have a clear picture about COL there. Would like to get the cost info regarding: rent, groceries, health insurance etc so I could do some calculations. Thanks.
Friend who worked there told me that levels numbers are accurate. OT but how was your interviewing? Did you ace all onsites?

Your best source is the cost of living calculators for Switzerland. There’s numerous ones out there. Cost of healthcare is publicly available since it’s required and cost of the insurance is rather standardized. COL is eye opening, but lower taxes and best income in Europe more than offset for it.

Moving from where? Rent in Zurich is much cheaper than in the Bay, comparable to London. Health insurance is give or take 300/month/ person. For concrete figures check priminfo.ch. Google pays 300+something for you and each dependent to cover it on top of your regular salary
If you dont mind, may I ask how did you land an interview at G Zurich? Also what role/level and what’s your YOE?
Have interviewed before and got contacted by them. Looking for L5, 7 YOE.
